Updates.....

Hello All!!

I know, I haven't posted much at all and for that I am sorry. But here's a little update on us all.

Thaer has been working hard. He's been working extra hours, which is wonderful except that we don't get to see him as much. I am doing well, just trying to keep up with these kiddos.

Hana is getting so big. We started time outs yesterday and they seem to be going well. I'll let you all know how well they are working for us! This morning within 15 mins of her waking she was in time out 3 times!! But she hasn't been back in there since. So that is a plus! She's talking so much and I can't believe in a few short months she will be 2 years old! One of her second molars finally came through the skin. That thing has been giving her trouble for months. She loves to color and to eat!!! She loves her brother so much, but we are still learning to share. She'll even get a spit rag to wipe his mouth when he drools!! She also loves to vacuum!

Zain is getting so big. He's pretty much outgrown his 12 month clothes and he is only 5 1/2 months!!! About 2 1/2 weeks ago he started army crawling!!! Can you believe it? And yesterday he's been rocking on all 4's, so he's getting ready to "regular" crawl! He loves chasing after Hana and sucking on his toes! He still doesn't sleep through the night. He actually wakes every couple hours still....blah. But he's a good boy.

A few pics....

Sorry that I haven't been around lately, but I wanted to get on and share photos over the past few weeks.....Zain is getting so big. At his 4 month checkup he was 27 1/2 inches and 15 lbs 12 oz!!! He's a monster. Still not sleeping through the night. He wakes up every few hours to nurse. I know I need to start getting him off that schedule, but letting him cry wakes up Hana and then we have 2 screaming kids at 2 am! I'm not mentally prepared to deal with that at this moment! Hana is such a ham. When she burps or hears someone else burp she will say "Scuse You"...it's too funny. Or if Zain toots, she'll say it and then point at his diaper and say "poop"....She's really gotten into coloring lately and playing with her baby. She's growing up too quickly. I can't believe that in only 4 months she'll be 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's about it with us. Oh, we are driving down to Tx on Sat...yes, driving with a 19 month old and 4 month old 1223 miles!!!!!!! Crazy, yes!

Updates....

Zain had his drs. appt. last week and at 9 1/2 weeks he weighed in at 13 pounds and 3 oz. and was a whopping 25 1/4 inches!!! He's my big guy. Our house is run by him and his rotten big sister!

He seems to be getting better with the colic, but we still have our moments daily. I'll be so happy when that is all over and done with.

Another thing that I will be looking forward to is when we get Hana a new bed so he can have her crib. Thaer and I have been thinking about just getting Hana a toddler bed. I am so afraid though that she won't stay in it as she still seems a little young for it to me...(17 1/2 months)....Next week she has her 18 month checkup. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hana climbed up on the couch today all by herself!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so amazed...she'd been pulling on us to get herself on it, but this morning she did it like she had been doing it for years! She's 1 and a half going on 16!

Good news about me....I've lost another 5 pounds!!! YAY!

Growing up too fast!!!

I can't believe how big my kiddos are getting. Zain will be 2 months old tomorrow and Hana turned 17 months last week!!

Zain is a little eating monster....I can't imagine how much he is going to weigh at his drs. appt. next week. I'm guessing by then he'll be about 15 pounds. He looks like he is about 4 or 5 months old! It's so sweet because he is now smiling back and oohing and aahing at you when you smile and talk to him. That makes waking up every couple hours with him all worth it! He's really kicking his legs a lot and is ready to get moving....when he has tummy time he gets his legs up under him, but doesn't understand why he won't go...he'll figure out soon enough that he has to move his arms too :)

Hana on the other hand acts like she is about 15 years old! Although you can't understand what she is saying, she has some deep thoughts that she likes to let you know about. She learned how to tell secrets with Daddy too! She's said a few words lately. The other day she pointed up at the fan/light and said, "light"....I was so proud of her. And this morning I had her plate out for her and she pointed at it before she grabbed one, looked at me and asked, "bite?" It was so awesome...I figure she will be talking up a storm not too long from now. We bought her a potty also. She knows what it is and likes to sit on it. Although we are just having fun with it right now because she is still too small to really understand. But she is starting to point at her diaper after she's gone in it. So that is a wonderful start.....

Thaer is doing so so. He is still really sore from having the neurostimulator put in his back last week, but he's already returned back to work and is pushing on. I don't know what I would do without him. He helps out so much even after getting up and going to work at 5am and not getting home til around 4pm....Hopefully soon we will be able to get Zain a crib and get him out of our bed so maybe Thaer and I can sleep in the same room!

I am doing well, just same ol same ol. Get up, change diapers, feed kids, do laundry, do dishes, put Hana down for nap, get Hana up from nap, change diapers, lunch, play, put Hana down for afternoon nap, get Hana up from nap, change diapers, play, Daddy comes home, dinner at 630p, baths, and bedtime at 8pm...then we have Zain...he still isn't on a schedule and we won't start pushing one for another month or 2....right now he's just "on demand"....But....I've lost more weight!!! I'm down 25 pounds in 8 weeks! Woo Hoo! Only 15 more to go!
